Institutional Accreditation

Introduction

The IAPEI’s Institutional Accreditation evaluate the educational institutions preparedness in providing services and operations in a desired manner by verifying the institution meets specified minimum IAPHEI’s standards. To be eligible to get evaluated, the Institution must be offering at least two or more academic programs and should have official approval from regional educational authority to grant bachelor, master or doctoral degrees.

The Self-Evaluation Study, Site Visit and the Final evaluation report are the main elements of the IAPHEI’s accreditation process for institutions. The process is intended to strengthen and sustain the quality and integrity of higher education, making it worthy of public confidence.

Accreditation Process

Initial Institutional accreditation starts by sending a Letter of Interest signed by the Head of the Institution along with the eligibility application obtained from IAPHEI from which IAPHEI will determine the applicant is eligible and falls within the scope of the accreditation. After receiving the eligibility, an agreement should be signed and the institution should do a Self-Evaluation Study about the Institution. The Self-Evaluation template can be obtained by contacting IAPHEI.

Following this, Peer Review Team consists of three members will arrange three day on site visit. After the peer review team submits the final report about the site visit, the final evaluation and decision will be undertaken by the Accreditation Committee and the Accreditation Council. According to this decision, the institution will be granted accreditation for a 5-year period with or without conditions, or accreditation will be rejected. Read the process mentioned below.
